SO, the first thing we checked off the list was a request from Trent to go to "the sushi restaurant that has chicken nuggets and french fries and the food goes around in circles." He meant, Totoyomichi's, a revolving family style sushi restaurant that we visited once before 3 years ago. We were surprised he even remembered it. So we went a few weeks ago.
here you see the french fries on the line up next to the shrimp and sushi

at lunch time they parade this huge fish around the restaurant, then kids can come up and get their picture taken. I was a little nervous when they handed Trent that knife...Each table got to guess how much it weighed. We guessed 15 kg, and another table guessed 16 kg, and it was 15.5 kg and they rounded up and the other table won!! we were disappointed...
then they cut up the fish right there in the middle of the restaurant so everyone could watch and started handing out fresh sushi samples. only Emily and Ryan wanted to try it.
ready to go home.
Revolving restaurants are fun b/c you pay by the plate. stack 'em and count 'em.
moving on to the second thing we've checked off our list, one more trip to Kidzania. we visited this place for the first time last summer, and had a blast. never seen anything like it before. We went with some of our favorite friends, the Jensens. and kudos to Ginny for being brave enough to come with her 6 week old baby! So here are some of the "jobs" the kids got to do.
Jake went to the bakery and made delicious croissants. This baker is explaining how to shape the dough.
