FACT: Shinjuku Gyoen around lunchtime is a madhouse. I went in the morning and tried to leave around noon and had to make my way through this crowd of people trying to rush through the park gates for picnics. I was literally almost trampled. I kept getting pushed back and was worried I was never going to get out!
