Christmas spirit

These are some of the things we're been doing to have the Christmas spirit around our home:

Received this beautiful wall hanging from my mother in law a few weeks ago!

Then got a 12 days of Christmas package from my parents, but it's the 12 cold cereals of Christmas. Breakfast is now the best part of my day!
Trent and Emily had a Christmas party inviting 9 friends. I think I was a little crazy, but we had fun frosting cookies and watching Home Alone.
As the movie progressed, the kids crept closer and closer to the TV
Jake and I helped out at both Emily and Trent's classroom parties. Jake was so happy to sit at the big kid table for the pancake breakfast with Emily's class.

Trent opening his white elephant gift

went to our favorite indoor waterpark and were the ONLY people there. a few people trickled in later on in the afternoon.

a few days ago I noticed a small silver bow at the top of our TV and realized Emily had taken Disney Channel a little too literally. supposedly the Christmas day movie line-up is so great "you might as well put a bow on top of the TV!"
We've also had a sleepover next to the Christmas tree, made candy cane milkshakes and took Christmas sugar cookies to every family in our building. The Japanese families, who don't even celebrate Christmas, mind you, gave us gifts to say thanks for the cookies. That's the Japanese way :)

Wow, you had summer land all to yourselves! Lucky!! We will have to go to some water parks in Europe when you come. They have them in Tallinn, Tartu, Helsinki, and Rakvere...
