Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, a little late! In Japan, Valentine's is all about the men in your life. Women and kids are supposed to give small boxes of chocolates to all the men they know. sons, husband, fathers, co workers and bosses etc. and then on March 14th, it's reciprocated and the men are supposed to give chocolates to all the women who gave them chocolates back in February. Still following me? Well that's all fine and dandy, but it's Valentine's Day for crying out loud!!! and when we moved here, I quickly told Ryan he should still plan on celebrating the American way. hence, the beautiful roses below!! Although I did give him a bag of orange flavored M&M's.
We also had some friends over for dinner and Emily was in charge of decorations.
