Mud park and snow cone stands--summer vacation is off to a great start!

Thursday was Emily's last day of school. We celebrated by going to the mud park with our neighbors. The kids played in the mud for three hours, pretending they were ogres building a swamp. Maybe they've seen Shrek too many times!





Saturday, we had a snowcone/cookie stand outside our building, also with our neighbors. We are so thankful to have neighbors with kids the same ages as ours. We play together every day. The four kids planned this for a week. They actually only had four real customers, but still had fun selling to the parents and each other. They each made 120 yen, which is equal to about 1 dollar.
