fish feet

We spent 2 days down in Hakone and everyone's FAVORITE thing was visiting Yunessun, a family water park with a Japanese twist. We recently discovered that there are 2 parts--indoor and outdoor. Last year when we took the kids here, we only did the outdoor section. How we missed the entire indoor section, we're not sure. But this time with my family, we did both sections and had a blast.
The highlight of the day was the fish pool, where you dip your feet in and the fish eat the dead skin off your feet! It tickled so much I kept pulling my feet out. What an experience. We didn't take our camera in with us, so here was the picture we ended up buying. My dad and Matt definately had the most fish surrounding their feet.
Here are more random pictures from the rest of the day.

Hi! We just moved back to the US after living in Japan for 2 years (husband for 3.5) and we miss it so much!! Yunessun was one of our FAVORITE spots too. Next time you're in Hakone, there is a little kokeshi shop on the hill leading up to Yunessun. The lady in there used to live in San Francisco and she'll tell you all about the history of the shop and the dolls. Please tell Japan and Fuji-san that we say hi!

P.S. I came across your site when searching for "Kokeshi Nativity." It's on my wish list for Christmas too! :)
