When the rain finally stops and there's not a typhoon in sight, our family heads to Showa Kinen Koen, our favorite park. This time we tried the bike trails. We brought the kids bikes in the car and rented bikes for mom and dad. We biked an 11 kilometer (6.6 mile) course around the entire park. We were so proud of the kids, Trent especially for making it the entire way.
This was Jacob's first time on a bike. It's very common here to see a petite Japanese woman on a bike with a child in front and another in back. I was worried about balancing, but it wasn't hard at all.
Jacob loved his little seat! He laughed and talked the entire time.
This is us at the end. It was a hot day and we had a lot of breaks, but it was so much fun!

How much fun! I love how the basket is in the front, unlike the child carriers in the states. I have always loved riding bikes.
Such adorable family pictures! Looks like Jacob was having a ball! And how great of the kids to make it the whole way. We always end up carrying Blake's tricycle back from the park.
