Last Sunday we got to church early (which was amazing in and of itself!) to take pictures by the temple and the park across the street. It is hard to take pictures of the temple because there are no temple grounds. It is right on the street. The kids love to walk by the temple on the way to church. The buildings are right next to each other. Although the temple is only about 4 miles from our house, because of traffic, it usually takes about 25 minutes to drive and 35 minutes by train with no kids and closer to an hour with the kids. Last week Ryan and I were able to do a session at the temple with Ryan’s mission president—who is Japanese and lives just outside Tokyo. Ryan was really excited to see him again and it was fun for me to be able to meet him.
