Disneyland

Disneyland was so much fun! Tokyo Disneyland is about an hour from our house. We took the train to get there. It was almost identical to the California Disneyland and all of the signs were in English, which was amazing. The Jungle Cruise just wasn’t as funny though, in Japanese. The food was the only thing that was really different. Curry flavored popcorn, clam pizza and Mickey Mouse imprinted nori (dried seaweed strips). I’ll stop there. There was some American food, but you had to really look for it. It has been 2 ½ years since we’ve been to Disneyland so this was Trent’s first time really riding the rides. He loved Splash Mountain, but said Big Thunder Mountain was a little too scary. Emily’s favorite part of the day was when Prince Charming blew her a kiss during the parade. We were right up front. She got all embarrassed and then kept talking about it for the rest of the day. I was expecting to see all Asian Disney princesses, with wigs on, but all of the Princesses and Princes we saw during the parade were Caucasian, and everyone else was Japanese. All in all, it was a great day!
